Michelle reached out to me in late 2023 with the idea of a custom bookcase for her home. I sketched out a few concepts, and together we chose the most ambitious, and challenging, of the three.

This build ended up spanning nearly two years, three different cities, and even a stretch in my hometown storage unit (thanks, Mom and Dad, for the temporary lumberyard!).

It was a long project, but also a meaningful one as it was the first piece I built for a client. The process tested my patience, pushed my skills, and reminded me why I love this craft. In the end, I’m proud of how it came together and grateful for the journey it took to get there.
